Donation to BB Gun Team

Competitive Harrisburg Association of Marksmanship Programs is a 501(c)3 organization and are currently accepting donations in preparation for sending our 2024-25 team to Rogers, Arkansas for the 2025 Daisy National BB Gun Championship Match.

These young athletes need YOU to help them take their place and compete against the best in the nation!

After months of training and preparation, at the recent Pennsylvania State Championships, the Harrisburg Hunters and Anglers Youth BB Gun team qualified for a coveted spot in the 58th Annual Daisy National BB Gun Championships to be held from June 29 to July 3, 2025 in Rogers, Arkansas. Earning this spot at Nationals is a dream come true for these 8 to 15 year olds and proof that hard work and dedication will be rewarded.

Taking their spot at Nationals and matching their skills against the best youth in the country won’t be cheap, so that’s why they’re asking for your help.

Between gas, hotel rooms, food and supplies, the cost for each team member to make the trip is about $2,500. With five team-members and two alternates prepared to journey to Rogers, that’s $17,500. Our fundraising efforts started with a sub sale and a granola sale. We are hoping to raise enough money for this to be a great trip for these kids.

Now you’re probably asking, “Why should I support this team?” Well, because both this team and the Harrisburg Hunters' and Anglers' Youth Shooting program represent everything that’s right about sports today. These kids don’t just line up and fling BBs down-range -- they train to develop the focus, discipline, control and determination that will not only help them succeed as athletes, but as hard-working, productive and responsible members of the community.

In addition, the first five weeks of every season, and half of every 2 hour practice is spent in a classroom setting and devoted to learning about shooting safety and education. Not only does this prepare them for the mandatory safety and education written test that is a part of every competition, but it also ensures that that they will be safe, responsible and respectful throughout their lives. This safety and education curriculum is a real point of emphasis for this club and the shooters take it seriously. 

Finally, you can donate to this team with the knowledge that 100% of all funds received through this campaign will go toward sending this youth team to nationals, and any extra funds will benefit next year’s season for both new and experienced shooters. The Harrisburg Hunters' and Anglers' Youth BB Gun Team is a 100% volunteer-run program operating under the umbrella of the Competitive Harrisburg Association of Marksmanship Programs (CHAMPS), a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer organization whose purpose is to promote youth conservation and marksmanship programs and teach safe methods in sporting activities.
